Session 4: Final Artist Statements

  1. Connor, Sierra, and I will be creating a PSA about rape and the effects in women. This is extremely important to us as many women around the world (no matter your country or race) are being impacted by rape. Rape needs to stop, and our PSA will show how to do it. With the video we will make sure to add statistics, pictures, and show how rape impacts girls from being better educated (our connection to the glass ceiling).

  7. I will create a movie showing how women gradually are breaking through the glass celling, succeeding in winning major positions of responsibility in society and business.

Barely two generations ago there were practically no women in government and even less in big corporation and in the justice system. Successful women like Marie Currie, Eleanor Roosevelt, Amelia Erheardt and Golda Meier were few and far between.

Today there are many women who are head of government, businesses and other important positions all over the world who were able to break the glass celling while still raising a family.

We are going to use statistics, pictures and examples to show how a women’s size, clothing and make-up affects how they are perceived in the workplace. We will also include ways women can change this situation.
